I must agree with Ellie that Diino is superior to other solution providers. The GUI with all the new features differentiates it clearly from that of the competition. Cant wait for the next version!

I tried most of the services on your list and like a few of them. But I just tried Diino and must say it is a bit different. Diino gives 2GB free online storage, email, personal blog, automatic back up, 2048bit encryption. The easy client makes it must faster than most web based solutions. try it. www.diino.com

This is developed by the boys at Goowy.com if I'm not mistaken... or perhaps Goowy just offers their services through contract. Anyways, if you haven't checked out Goowy yet- do so. They offer free email, calendar, address book and even integrated IM. Plus, this box.net storage. Goowy uses a pleasing Flash interface. Very snazzy, I have enjoyed my email with them immensely.

Box.net is great and best of all free, which beats a .mac subscription. There is a bug with the drap and drop feature though: if your files have spaces in the filename, it does not show up in the finder window. But worry not, your file is still there. The folks over at theapplefiles.com have found a fix for this: http://techpaedia.com/apple/2006/06/08/boxnet-on-your-mac-filename-bug-workaround/

Hi, I don’t know for how long these services will remain free. What will happen if these free services become paid services overnight? Are you sure they don’t have any hidden catches?

I stumbled upon an online backup service called IBackup while I was searching for the best option to backup my data. I tried their free trial and a month later I took an account, as I liked their features. Even though I also use a few free online storage sites, I use IBackup for backing up and restoring my critical data.

For me IBackup for Windows has been of great use to backup and restore my files and folders. Its fast and easy and you can even drag-and-drop files and folders to be backed up. All data transfer with IBackup is encrypted with 128-bit SSL.

They have another cool application called IDrive. The wonderful thing about this is that you can map your online account as a `local drive’ in your own PC and open, edit and save your files from your PC itself! With IDrive Multimedia stream your favorite music files, create playlists and play them in a media player of your choice.

So check out IBackup. It’s interesting.
