Recently i had the plesaure of being interviewed by Sadish Bala over at wpthemespark regarding WordPress theme and plugin development. The interview can be read at Sadish website.

I sat down in front of my computer and did some searches on this site but I got frustrated how hard it was to find the search term within all the search results, so I made a search term highlighter plugin and it’s working quite well. Go ahead and try a search. As you can see the search term entered in the search form is now highlighted and much easier to find.

I don’t know if there is such a plugin already available but I rather write my own. If there are any interest in this plugin I’ll release it.

The next version of fGallery will have implement an option for users to send images as eCards. The eCard service will be optional and can be disabled from the fGallery options page. This is due to many requests from the community of fGallery users. This version will be 2.4, I know I skipped a couple of numbers but it’s a major upgrade and it feels appropriate to give it this version number.

As you already know version 2.3.3 have an update service and when this new version is ready the update service will dicover this and tell you to upgrade. This update service will probably be implemented in all of my plugins when I get the time.

In the next version it will be possable to password protect albums. Every album can be changed between public or private from the edit album option page.

I have heard a lot of bad words about programs “calling home” and therefore I do a check if there are any negative comments if I should implement this as a feature in fGallery and later in all my plugins.
