6 Kg of Pike
Got my first Pike of the summer today in Vänern, which is the biggest lake in Sweden. From a boat in about 11m deep according to my Fishfinder.
I do feel a little proud I caught this giant. Anybody else had any fishing luck this summer?
Nice going! I once hauled in an 12 lb pike in the river just outside my house. How long were you fighting with him before you reeled him in?
bb2120: Well I’m not sure how long it took, probably 7-8 minutes. At first Inthought I was stuck to the bottom, great feeling when you suddenly realize the bottom is fighting back. I had good help from my brother. 12 lb that’s about what.. 5.5 kg, right?
