WP Forum vers. 1.7.7 with Captcha

Version 1.7.7 of WP Forum is not released and it features optional Captcha for unregistered users. And as always de-activate and re-activate the plugin to allow WP Forum to update the database.

Just a question does this forum work with wp-super cache or wp-cache. Or should I add the string to let the plugin know not to cache the pages dealing with the wp-forum?

Hey I’m getting these error messages with the new update

Warning: file(/home/giovani7/public_html/page1//wp-content/plugins/wp-forum/wp-forum.php) [function.file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/giovani7/public_html/page1/wp-content/plugins/wpforum/wp-forum.php on line 33

Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/giovani7/public_html/page1/wp-content/plugins/wpforum/wp-forum.php on line 33

Now let me preface this with the fact that i did not deactivate the plugin before I updated it, because wordpress allows it to be done automatically and I just chose the option and went with it. Please help

Are you using 1.7.7? Did you read the readme.txt file and installation instruction? Did you rename the wpforum directory to wp-forum?

Naw I didn’t do any of that lol, So I need to rename the directory to wp-forum and it’ll be good?

Oh and an off topic question for you, do you use the role manager and register plus plugins for your site? If you do, how do you set the default to just subscriber for people who are registering for your site for the first time?

  7. Fredrik Fahlstad 2008/09/17 21:28

Yes, it should work if you rename the directory. No i don’t use any user plugin. By default Worpress assign the “subscriber” role to new registration.
