Wp-forum stolen by VastHTML

I have reacently been informed that a website called vastHtml has stolen my forum software and published as its own. Only the names and credits have been changed.

fGallery exploit fixed

fGallery exploit described here is fixed in version 2.4.2 available for download at the plugin page.

Fix includes proper escaping of the url and checking if the “album” is numeric. If “album” is not numeric the script dies and therefore the exploit can not be executed.

Thanks to all of you who made me aware of this exploit and I apologize for any problem it may have caused.

I’m sorry for the lack of updates on this site, I have been very busy lately on various projects and with my daytime job. I’m trying to find time to update wp-forum to version 2.3 and I expect to do so in a very near future. Please have faith.

latest_activity() tag is now working as intended.
Logout in fixed.
Minor ui fixes applied.
No more post count below or beside the avatar.

After much work and debugging i feel that WP-Forum 2.0 is ready for release. The install instructions on the plugin page is updated.

Some new features

Groups renamed to categories, threads renamed to topics
New bbcode form input
Admin can set permissions on categories to allow or disallow user groups to browse certain categories
Optional capcha security image for unregistered visitors
bbcode compatible
Login/logout from the forum page
Numerous bug fixed, too many to mention
Version 2.0 is NOT backward compatible with earlier version
Automatic upgrade on first activation
All moderators, categories (groups), forums and topics (threads) are intact, no database loss at all
New admin interface
Upgraded search function
